The Magic Flute – West Green Opera House 2026 – Music OMH

“From among the strong cast, several performances stood out in particular.
Both Sion Goronwy as Sarastro and Frazer Scott as the Speaker of the Temple were suitably authoritative, while placing unorthodox spins on their respective characters. With his dark and commanding bass Goronwy made Sarastro a slightly angrier and more irascible figure than usual, while conversely Scott’s Speaker seemed notably convivial and understanding.”

The Bartered Bride – Garsington 2023 – Music OMH

“With strong support from Yvonne Howard as Ludmila, William Dazeley as Krušina, Isabelle Petes as Esmeralda, Frazer Scott as the Strongman, John Savournin as Mícha and Louise Winter as háta, this is not so much an evening in which there is nothing not to like, as one in which there is everything to enthuse about.”

Orfeo – Garsington 2022 – Martin Kettle for the Guardian

“Sometimes everything comes right in the theatre…. There are multiple virtuoso vocal moments in Monteverdi’s score too, not least from the now veteran Diana Montague in the role of the messenger who brings the news of Eurydice’s death, and is so devastated that she retreats from the world to live in a cave. Frazer Scott provides a tenebrously dark-toned Charon, accompanied by the wonderfully filthy sounding reed regal organ.”
